The local senior Champions of Character are selected by their school administration as role models to be a positive influence on the younger peers. These Champions understand the qualities and characteristics along with the responsibilities of being a leader.

This year the senior Champions will be speaking to the kids about “perseverance” and encouraging them to continue to try, even when a task becomes challenging. Teaching them to celebrate mistakes as a chance to persevere and become better.

The Champions will serve as role models to the students by taking on the challenge of one of the most important jobs in teaching students about having good character and perseverance.  When students learn to persevere, it will help them far beyond solving the problems in the classroom…it will set them up for a lifetime of success.

thank-you-poster-sponsors

We are so grateful for the support of our community sponsors for our Champions posters, who are helping our Champions of Character to inspire young students, strengthening families and building stronger, healthier and safer communities through conversations about good character.

Character on Track does not charge the schools for their programing and looks to the support of community sponsors to continue to bring our message of courage, kindness and leadership to the younger students. With their support and and help of the local high school Champions of Character as great role models to look up to, we make a difference!

Understanding the importance of focusing on our youth and what they will become, Character on Track’s priority is making a positive impact on young kids. Helping them develop the skills, abilities and motivation to become engaged citizens, even at a young age, is the foundation of what we do. Character on Track exists to provide vision, leadership and resources for the greater community to promote and develop meaningful character traits that foster good decision making. The program is based on Five Marks of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Accountability, Citizenship and Kindness. It is focused on infusing positive character through education throughout the schools and communities, so it may become the common language and interweave into all local cultures.
